The night of April 18th, Paul Revere was not alone. Who was with Revere that revolutionary night? William Dawes. Dawes rowed down the Charles, and then made his way to Lexington an hour or so after Revere did. Now because of Longfellow’s poem in 1861, Revere became much more famous than Dawes, and Dawes was forgotten.

Our mission: to bring back Dawes.
